Therapy
Not all therapy is the same. The most effective approach depends on each person’s unique needs, circumstances, and preferences. A core part of my work is helping people find the right therapy and the right therapist. If a particular modality isn’t my area of expertise or if I’m not the best fit, I will help connect you with someone who is. And if you’re already seeing a therapist, I can coordinate care with them—with your permission—to ensure the best support.
Focused Psychotherapy
Evidence-based psychotherapy modalities I am able to provide in my practice:

Psychodyanmic Psychotherapy
Gentle approach with an open-ended time-frame that focuses on exploring emotions and patterns in relationships and behavior. With no homework or strict structure, it’s best for those who want insight, self-reflection, and deep personal growth.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy
Guided program designed to help you make progress in a focused, manageable timeframe (typically 12-16 sessions). It aims to improving relationship and communication. Helpful for those facing significant life transitions and seeking practical tools to improve mood and connect more effectively with others.

Exposure Therapy
Guided program designed to help people gently confront fears and anxious situations step by step, building confidence and reducing distress over time. It is the most effective treatment for many types of anxiety.

Parent Management Training
Guided program (usually 8-12 sessions) that teaches practical strategies to encourage positive behavior and manage challenges in children such as tantrums and defiance. This approach supports not only your child’s growth but also helps reduce stress and protect your own well-being as a parent.

Behavioral Activation
This approach helps you gradually reconnect with activities and routines that bring meaning and joy. By taking small, guided steps, it can lift mood and reduce depressive symptoms.

Lifestyle Support
I support clients in making lifestyle changes that support mental health, including sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress management. These changes are personalized to fit your life and goals, complementing therapy and medication when appropriate. Small, consistent adjustments can have a meaningful impact on overall well-being and long-term resilience.
Additional note:
While my practice focuses on the modalities listed above, I recognize the value of other approaches such as EMDR, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy and many others. I’m happy to work with you to find the right approach and therapist.
My training and education:
My interest in psychiatry began during my undergraduate years, where I was captivated by how the field weaves together biology, psychology, and the richness of human experience. Now board certified in general psychiatry, I bring over a decade of thoughtful study and deep curiosity to every patient I work with.
